The NBA took a rare day off yesterday, presumably to not compete with MLB’s “opening day.”

The Biggest Loser: Major League Baseball, for scheduling the first game of the season on April 5th, a day before the actual opening day. I’m not a fan of having a pre-opening day to your opening day. It’s like having pre-foreplay to your foreplay; horribly unnecessary.

All Eyez on Me: New Orleans (47-29) at Miami (41-36) – Any match-up between THE top two fantasy guys in the league is an all eyez on me. And you would think with James Posey and Tyson Chandler out for the Hornets, that Rasual Butler might want to step it up a bit. But other than New Orleans last game, where he went 9-15 from the field, Butler has shot a whopping 29% since March 27th.

New York (30-47) at Chicago (37-40) – With both Golden State and Phoenix not playing today, New York fills in as the poor man’s Golden Ticket (they’re 4th in the league in points allowed per game at 107). And with the Bulls sitting on the 7th playoff seed in the East and winners of 12 of their last 13 games, are they ready to make some noise in the playoffs? Blog-a-Bull is not convinced.

San Antonio (49-27) at Oklahoma City (21-55) – Some really bad luck for Manu Ginobili and the Spurs yesterday when it was discovered that Manu will be out the rest of the season and the playoffs with a stress fracture in his right ankle. While that’s a huge blow to their chances in the playoffs, the Spurs roll on tonight against an OKC team that has a better chance of winning than you think.

As far as the fantasy inpact of this injury goes, Roger Mason will be logging more time at the 2, but that doesn’t necessarily make him a better fantasy option. No, it probably just means even more domination from the sexiest French man I know, Tony Parker.
