Line of the Night: Vince Carter (1.23) couldn’t quite will the Nets to a victory over the still KG-less Celtics, but his 33 points, 12 boards, 5 assists and 5-9 from three shows he did just about everything he could to win the game. Well, everything expect hit what would have been the game winning three with 8 seconds left in the 4th. Everything but that.
For those of you counting at home, Carter now has played in 77 games for the Nets after playing 76 last year and 82 the year before that. Does this mean we can expect another healthy year for Vince next season or that he is long, long overdue for multiple nagging injuries?

Would you draft Vince Carter next year?
Honorable Mentions: Carmelo Anthony (1.23) filled up the box score in a 122-112 win over OKC with a 31/5/5 line, adding a couple steals and blocks; a 23 and 8 rebound game for GMTR super-sleeper Wilson Chandler (1.14); and Steve Nash (1.14) out dueled Chris Paul in their match-up by shooting 78% on the night, finishing with 24 points and 14 assists.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Our buddy Chris Andersen (1.03) checks in with 7 blocks to go along with 8 points and 9 rebounds in 28 minutes off the bench for Denver; and Keith Bogans (0.83) scored 22 points with 4 threes for Milwaukee. I like that Brew Hoop more or less called Bogans performance fake, except for the part where he missed a lay up in the fourth quarter. That Keith Bogans is all real.
The Biggest Loser: Your pick of Wizards: Antawn Jamison (-0.53) was only 2-4 from the floor and had 7 points 6 boards and 3 turnovers, Caron Butler (-0.51) was a more dismal 2-9 shooting on the night, scoring 10 points with 4 turnovers; and Gilbert Arenas racked up another league leading DNP. Those Wizards really have a lot going for them right now.
All Eyez on Me: Three games tonight, the best of which is clearly Denver (53-26) at Los Angeles (62-16). How many Andrew Bynum shots can the Birdman block tonight? We’ll get to find out as Bynum is expected to return to the court after missing 32 games with a torn MCL.
Houston (50-28) at Sacramento (16-61) – We make a big deal out Golden State, Phoenix and New York, teams whose defense can be a little – ahem – porous at times. But the Kings are right in that mix, allowing a second-worst-in-the-league 109 points a game – more than both the Knicks and the Suns. It’s also Ron Artest first game back in Sacramento since being traded to the Rockets, so expect some magic from Ron-Ron.
