    A big congrats to the winners of the two GMTR fantasy leagues this season – PWNAGE! Inc. and Banana Hammock.

    The GMTR Readers League

    The 10 12-team reader’s league was won by PWNAGE! Inc – managed by Erik of GMTR fame (as well as Points in the Paint). PWNAGE! Inc beat Skeeter/Obama 2012 in the finals matchup by a score of 5-4. The blocks category was won 30-29 by PWNAGE! Inc , so a mere 1 block won him the league (make sure Brook Lopez gets that fruit basket you sent, Erik).

    The GMTR Monster League

    This 20-team monstrosity of a league was won by Dennis Velasco, a man of many talents (few of which we can actually discuss without the possibly of getting arrested) and his aptly named Banana Hammock. Dennis was the 6th and final seed going into the playoffs, but rode insane weeks by J.R. Smith and Joakim Noah to a victory over why so serious? in the finals.

    A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the GMTR leagues this year. I hope you had as much fun as we did and you better come back for some punishment next season! Gilbert Arenas and I will extract our revenge…

      PWNAGE! Inc. did one better than sending a fruit basket. We have decided to draft Brook in as MANY leagues as possible next season!

      We would also like to give some shout-outs to the following:

      Yao Ming – for playing more than 70 games this season

      Tony Parker – for being a better fantasy point guard than anyone expected.

      Dirk Nowitzki – for his crucial 16 of 17 freethrow shooting close to the end

      Mario Chalmers – for being a good enough pickpocket so his other shortcomings can be overlooked

      Nels – for trading Paul Pierce to us in exchange for David West, relatively early in the season.

      Thabo Sefolosha – for being such an inspiration

      Lamar Odom – for uncharacteristically shooting 100% from the line over the course of the Finals week.

      CP3, Kevin Durant and Andrea Bargnani – for giving us a scare and making the Finals such a nail-biting affair.

      Nick, Skeeter/Obama's manager – for an epic battle well fought!

      I should update these with the more recent seasons sometime. But I don't think anyone in the past three years is breaking into the top 20.
