Very good post.

But I'll say it again, crazies really annoy me. =P I dunno, to me, the game of fantasy basketball isn't meant to be played by holding a stakeout in front of your PC monitor every game night. Really annoying to find someone cycling through the hot players and then dropping them like crazy (which of course makes them unusable for a while due to waiver rules =P)

I really advocate the idea of daily waiver deadlines (clearing at midnight perhaps?) wherein everybody gets to queue up for priority on pickup of a player daily.

Oh man, you guys make me laugh. Defining the relative sanity of the GMTR readership was an unintended side effect of the analysis…

You have to admit though, there is a weird gap between the so called normal people and crazy people. It seems to take a special kind of person to bust through that 50 moves threshold. I mean, 50 moves is like 2 moves a week . That's a lot of time spent working the wire.

That was awesome. For the last couple of seasons, I've been a "crazy" with about 50 moves a season. Last year, I finished 1st in the regular season, but this year I finished 7th. Last year was a ten team league, with a twelve team league this year. Both years I had a feeling I was making too many moves, and next year I intend to keep my transactions lower (I had decided on that before reading this blog entry). I admit I am impulsive when it comes to jumping on the free agent wire. But after reading this blog, I'm glad to have a specific number to stay under (or above).
