That sounds like what people were saying when Michael Jordan started shooting threes (although, I was fairly young then, so I may be overestimating the impact of what I actually heard due to my ears being so fresh and tender). Wade is going to be 28 in January, so I think it's the right time for him to start working on his 3. Then, when he's 32 and too old to drive to the hoop with reckless abandon, he can still unsettle defenses with an inside-outside game.

Indeed. Although if you look at Wade's %, its a lot better than it used to be. Maybe by 2014, he'll be an above average guy from behind the arc.

It's funny that in fantasy, we look at a guy like Wade or Iguodala at the beginning of their career (or Loius Williams now) and say, damn, I wished they took a few more threes. If they only did that they'd be unstoppable. Well, it looks like these guys have a reason to stay away from the three.

Dang. Wade needs to go back to his first three years: under one 3PG.

It's not like the dude ever needed the 3 to succeed. People will always have to respect his mid-range game. In his championship year he took 1 three per game at 17% and still had his best career FG%.
