Line of the Night: Over at Bleacher Creature Roto Talk, the fantasy version of the super friends gathered for another week to discuss the question: At the end of the season who will be the top three rookies from a fantasy basketball perspective? As you can guess, Brandon Jennings (1.33) figures heavy into the discussion. Jennings scored 22 points, adding 6 assists, 4 threes and 2 steals as the Bucks destroyed the Raptors 117-95. Jennings hyperextended his knee at the end of the third quarter of the game and return to the game only briefly in the 4th, but he should be ready to go in the Bucks next game on Saturday.

Honorable Mentions: Kobe Bryant’s (1.13) 27 points, 8 boards and 6 assists gave the Lakers their 10th win in a row; Anthony Randolph (0.95) scored 11 points with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks in only 20 minutes off the bench for the Warriors; and Al Jefferson (0.87) had 17 points (on 8-12 shooting) and 16 boards as the Wolves lost to the Hornets 97-96 on a Chris Paul (0.27) layup. Paul had 15 points and 14 assists, but turned the ball over 5 times.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: The Bulls got blown out by the Hawks 118-83, and a result, rookie James Johnson (0.82) got some run for the Bulls and scored and scored an impressive 17 points in 19 minutes (all in the 4th quarter of the game). Considering the Bulls get blown out a lot, Johnson has been getting some decent minutes lately. But other than this game, he hasn’t really done much with those minutes.

Shane Battier (0.84) is technically owned in 53% of leagues, but he’s often underappreciated in leagues because of his lack of gaudy numbers (or any numbers on occasion). But yesterday Battier was solid, scoring 14 points against the Cavs, hitting 4-7 threes and adding 3 steals and 2 blocks.

The Biggest Loser: If they keep it up, the Chicago Bulls might get a team biggest loser soon. However, for today it is Corey Brewer (-0.68). A 5-13 shooting night coupled with going 1-6 from the line pretty much wrapped up the biggest loser for Brewer. His 11/3/3 wasn’t quite enough to make up for the sad shooting display.

All Eyez on Me: The usual 3 Thursday games for the NBA.

Orlando (17-4) at Utah (12-9) – The best game of the night by default, the Magic head to Salt Lake City to attempt to win their 9th straight game on the road. A big reason for that is Stan Van Gundy’s ability to shoot the three. Oh wait, I meant that Dwight Howard has really started to heat up recently.

Denver (16-6) at Detroit (9-12) – Kenyon Martin dislocated his pinkie (sounds painfully delicious) in Monday’s game and is currently day-to-day with the injury. He sat out Tuesday’s game and my guess would be that he misses tonight’s game as well. For the Pistons, Ben Gordon is day-to-day with a sprained ankle. He missed yesterday’s game, but is probably a more likely play than Martin.

Boston (17-4) at Washington (7-12) – I don’t really need to add anything to the tomes of great literature that has already been written about this rivalry for the ages. Well, Marquis Daniels recently had surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb and will miss an undetermined amount of time. Of course, if your fantasy team is relying on Marquis Daniels, then you have problems that GMTR can’t solve. This does however, make Eddie House a player to put on your watch lists.

Nice post over at Bleacher Creature. I'm on board with you guys, and surprised Stephen Curry didn't get more love outside of GMTR. Just did a little thing on Jennings' home/road splits. I'm sure they'll even out over the year, but they're just so grossly far apart right now I had to mention it. Probably doesn't make a huge impact fantasy-wise, but wondering if you guys had any thoughts…

Yeah, when I looked at the list of rookies from a statistical standpoint, it went something like this:

      1a. Brandon Jennings
      1b. Tyreke Evans
      3. Stephen Curry
      The Rest

I can see why people are still hot for Blake Griffin, but I own him in one fantasy league and it has not been fun so far :) Plus, last I heard about his injury, they were pushing back his expected return date into January. That is never a good sign.

I haven't really seen Jennings splits, but it is an interesting question. I'll have to check out your post on it.
