Line of the Night: Deron Williams (1.22) is not one of the meek. But his Jazz were the underdog last night against the Magic and their 9 game road win streak. Williams showed Orlando who owns Salt Lake City with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 15 assists, and 1 turnover.
Here you go, D-Will – the entire 2009-10 Nu Skin Jazz Dance Team, in black leather, no less (and no more, either):

Honorable Mentions: Carmelo Anthony (0.96) dropped 40 on the Pistons, but Detroit dropped the Nuggets by 2. A W is a W. And for those hoping for a Fantasy W, Carmelo’s line isn’t going to do a whole lot more than those 40 points.
Vince Carter (0.86) did his best with 34 points on 5 threes, with 6 rebounds. He shot only 39% from the field, though. I think this line would have been worse than 3rd if there had been more than just 3 games last night.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Speaking of lines that probably would have been lower with more games on the schedule: Andray Blatche (0.78) did have 5 steals, and shot 70% from the field. Oh, wait, he shot 70% from the field… Technically that makes him ineligible for the WWLotN because things like that don’t happen with any sort of regularity (though Blatche is shooting 50% for the season).
I’d say that Ryan Anderson (0.34) is a better option than Blatche, but he’s really not. How’s that for advice?
The Biggest Loser: This is a little bizarre. Technically, there’s guys with worse lines than this, but none of them qualify for the “value” threshold that we usually use in which a player has to actually be owned in a majority of leagues so that their crap play really affects fantasy owners. But this… well… Gilbert Arenas (-0.26) had 25 points, 2 threes, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, and made 48% of 23 field goal attempts. Despite the fact that he went 1-6 from the line and had 4 turnovers, that’s not a bad line. Of course, as I said above, there were only three games, so the results are certainly skewed at least a little because of that.
All Eyez On Me: TGIF! Has this not been the longest week ever?
I’m watching the Nets take on Indiana for sure. It’s probably going to be the worst game of the season. 2-20 vs. 6-13 without Danny Granger. This one is just going to be fascinating.
But really, Orlando continues their road trip, looking to bounce back against Phoenix. Yikes. Is there any team in the East that looks forward to going out West? I mean, there’s an easy win waiting in Sacramento. But that’s about it…
The Golden Ticket: Golden State in Chicago! Get those Warriors in your lineup! Pick them up off the free agent list if you have to! I’m think we’re looking at a minimum of 140 from the Warriors. If the Bulls are lucky, they’ll finally get over 100.
New York is in New Orleans, for what that’s worth.
