Line of the Night: Now this is the Troy Murphy (1.26) everyone was hoping to draft this season: The forward went 10-12 from the line, scoring 28 points with 12 rebounds and 4 steals in 39 minutes on the court against the Wizards. The injury to Danny Granger and his 24 PPG for the next 4-6 weeks opens up a lot of scoring opportunities for other Pacers, including Murphy and the guy with the second best score of yesterday.

Honorable Mentions: Mike Dunleavy (1.21) will likely also pick up some of the scoring slack in Granger’s absence. Dunleavy is still working his way back off the bench, but he managed to score 24 points against the Wizards by going 5-7 from the floor and 10-10 from the line. He also hit 4 threes and added 3 steals; GMTR rookie fav Stephen Curry (0.83) only scored 19 points for the Warriors, but added 4 assists, 4 steals and 3 threes; and Pau Gasol (0.76) had 16 points and 20 rebounds for the Lakers in a loss to the Jazz
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Louis Amundson (0.95) got 24 minutes off the bench for the Suns and pulled down his first double-double of the year with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks in a loss to the Nuggets. Other than this game, Amundson has played a total of 32 minutes in the month of December, so I wouldn’t exactly rush to put him at the top of your free agent list.
Erick Dampier (0.69) had a 14 point, 18 board, 3 block performance in 40 minutes for Dallas. It was his second huge double-double in a row and he’s been getting enough play recently to be a worthwhile additional in all leagues.
The Biggest Loser: Jason Terry (-0.67). 4-19 shooting, 0-6 for three. 11 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists in 38 minutes. And despite that horrible game from Terry, Dallas still beat the Bobcats 98-97. Consider it a one-time bad shooting night for Terry. He’ll be good to go in Dallas’ next game.
All Eyez on Me:
Cleveland (16-7) at Oklahoma City (12-9) – LJ vs. KD. Shaq is questionable for this one after getting poked in the eye by Joel Przybilla on Friday. If he doesn’t play, you are welcome to dust off the corpse of Zydrunas Ilgauskas and give it a ride. However, you probably won’t like the feeling it gives you afterwards.
Houston (13-9) at Toronto (10-15) – Jose Calderon is out indefinitely after re-aggravating a hip injury. That makes Jarrett Jack a must add in all leagues, if he’s still even available. Raptors HQ previews this game and brings up a good point – for all their injuries, the Rocket’s bench is a surprisingly solid good of guys.
New Jersey (2-21) at Atlanta (16-6) – Brook Lopez is currently the top scoring center in the league at 19.5 ppg. That sounds like an indictment of the weak year a lot of the top centers in the league are having more than anything. Although there is nothing wrong with Al Horford’s 13 points and 9.4 rebounds a game, it’s not quite the breakout year a lot of people were hoping for.
