No, they give you a coupon when you enter along with all the other so-called contests that they run during the game. Has to be redeemed within 48 hours (which is another source of consternation among some McDonald's employees). So, you don't have to stay until the end to get it.

I'm thinking McDonald's just wants everyone to want the Big Mac so much that they go there after the game and buy one anyway.

Do you have to bring in your ticket stub? They hand out little coupons at the doors out of the Rose Garden. That way, if you don't stay to the end, no Chalupa for you.

And besides, think of all the traffic I'll get from those Kardashian Big Mac pictures! If I didn't complain about the Big Mac... I would have just posted another generic Suns cheerleader picture. I can do that any old day.

Well, if the Bulls had made the 2nd round of the playoffs in 4 out of the last 4 years including a trip to the Conference Finals and NBA Finals, I probably wouldn't care about the Big Mac.

But the real point is: They were already at 98 points. It's not like I'm expecting them to try to run up the score when if they were up by 15 or if they only had 93 or 94 points... But the Knicks were down by 7 and fighting hard (i.e., intentionally fouling) to try to get back to within another Danilo Gallinari 3-pointer. Then they realized it wasn't going to happen because they were down by 9 with 8 seconds left... but by then, the Bulls had already gotten up 98 points by making free throws. 98!

Couldn't Deng put up a half court heave? It's not like the one shot is going to kill his season average, and it's not like he's playing for a contract or anything... Just give it a chance...

The Cavs give away free Chalupas for 100+ points or for holding the opponent under 80
LeBron actually mentioned this last season, "ya can't be booing us when we win by 15 points and don't hit 100; We are trying to bring this city a championship not free chalupas"

Wait, so the Blazers still only have to score 100+ for the Chalupas? They used to do the Big Macs that way, but then when the Bulls got their average PPG up to 98.8 in 06-07, I think McDonald's got scared, so they changed it to 100+ AND they have to win. Good thing for them, too, because last season, they averaged 102.2 points per game.

Also, why do the McDonald's employees have to be sticklers about this? When I went last season to get my free Big Macs (haven't gotten any so far this year), they would go in the back to see if anyone knew the score of the game. Really? You can't just give me a free Big Mac even if they didn't win and didn't score 100 points? Like McDonald's is going to go out of business if their employees are a little bit nice to their customers?

When I was at the Blazer-Heat game, and the Blazers were pretty much out of it with 80 seconds left, those of us left in the cheap seats started a Cha-Lu-Pa chant. The Blazers responded in kind by chucking up threes and hitting 100 on their final shot. All the suckers who left the building must have been pissed.

But I'll take a Big Mac over a Chalupa any day.
