Line of the Night/ Waiver Wire Line of the Night : Kyle Lowry (1.54). With the exception of Jason Terry and Manu Ginobili, It’s not very often that a non-starter pulls down the best line of the night, even when they get a lot of minutes (otherwise, they’d be good enough to start, right?) Well, the Rockets’ Lowry came of the bench for (an overtime enhanced) 39 fabulous minutes, scoring a career-high 26 points on 8-13 shooting, adding 10 assists, 6 boards and 5 steals in a win over Dallas. Anytime you hear the words “overtime” and “career high” in association with a free agent fantasy player, it is a good idea to treat this game like it never happened, because you’ll forget all about it when he scores 2 points in Houston’s next game.

Honorable Mentions: Chris Paul’s (1.36) 30 points and 19 assists would have been the top line on just about any other day, except for today when the force was strong with Lowry; Stephen Curry (1.32) was 5-9 from three and scored 27 points in a win over the Wizards; Kevin Garnett (1.16) had 21 points, 10 boards and 4 blocks in a losing effort against the Sixers. He was also 11-11 from the line; and it was nice that a couple Wizards to finally show up this season (although they were playing against Golden State) – Gilbert Arenas (1.12) scored 45 points, adding 13 assists and 4 threes; and Caron Butler (1.01) pulled down a 28 and 10 with 5 steals against the powerful defensive duo of Anthony Morrow and Corey Maggette.
The Biggest Loser: Deron Williams (-0.72) and the rest of the Utah Jazz starters got pulled from this one after they were outscored 23-6 third quarter in their game against the Hawks. Williams only played 21 minutes and scored 2 points on 1-8 shooting with 4 assists and 4 turnovers.
All Eyez on Me:
Portland (16-11) at Orlando (19-7) – Joel Przybilla is going to have his hands full guarding Dwight Howard in this game, although the last time they met in December of 2008 Dwight only scored 14 points with 7 rebounds, so as KG like to say, anything is POSSAAAAAAAAAABLLLLE!
Atlanta (17-6) at Chicago (9-15) – Will the frustrated fans in Chicago actually win a Big Mac from this match-up? It’s unlikely, seeing that the Hawks have won 6 straight and just destroyed the Jazz last night. On the positive slide for the Bulls, this is a back-to-back for the Hawks and… uh… that’s all I got. And in case you missed it, we are so witnessing the slow disappearance of Mike Bibby.
Oklahoma City (13-12) at Houston (15-11) – The Rockets are slowly easing Tracy McGrady back into the lineup, playing him between 7 and 8 minutes each of the last three games. It’s going to be a long road back for McGrady, and I’m not even sure the road leads back to fantasy relevance anymore. If you happen to own McGrady on your team, well, the future for both of you does not look good.
