Line of the Night: Even with only three games yesterday, there were still a lot of strong fantasy performances to be had. Al Horford (0.93) used both the Knicks’s “defense” and an overtime to score 22 points, grab 19 boards and block three shots. He was also 11-14 shooting from the field. And the question has to be asked, if you could have any center in the league anchoring your team right now, wouldn’t Al Horford at least be on the short list?

Honorable Mentions: Jonny Flynn (0.92) scored 23 against the Magic, adding 4 steals and 5 threes in the loss; my boy Beno Udrih (0.83) continues to be more than an adequate fill in for Kevin Martin. He had 19 points and 13 assists in a 109-108 loss to the Lakers; and Spencer Hawes (0.8) exploded for a career-high 30 and 11 in a solid 40 minutes on the court. I would not expect a repeat of that performance anytime soon.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Nate Robinson (0.58). It was straight out of a movie. Disgruntled guard gets benched for a month by the coach, publicly demands a trade, doesn’t get his trade, finally gets called into a game against the Hawks in the first quarter, and goes absolutely nuts for 41 points on 18-24 shooting, helping the team to an overtime win over Atlanta. I have a feeling this movie isn’t going to have a happy ending, but if you’ve got the bench spot and Robinson is a free agent, you owe it to yourself to grab him quickly and see if he has a sequel in him.

Knicks Hawks Basketball

Omri Casspi (0.58) was more than solid in 41 minutes on the court for the Kings, scoring a career high 23 points, with 6 rebounds and 3 threes. He’s now getting 35+ minutes a game for the team and is worth a look if he’s available in your league.

The Biggest Loser: Jason Thompson (-0.8) has been a revelation this season, but not so much last night. Thompson got the start and 25 minutes for the Kings, but missed the 4 shots he took and finished the game with 0 points, 6 boards and 0 blocks.

All Eyez on Me: A full slate of games today, including:

Toronto (16-17) at Boston (23-8) – KG is again questionable for this game and Paul Pierce is doubtful, making both Tony Allen and Rasheed Wallace good options for any fantasy team today. In the C’s last game, Allen, who was filling in for Pierce, scored 12 points with 7 rebounds and 6 assists in 32 minutes.

The Golden Ticket: Golden State (9-22) at Portland (21-13) – For all the talk of the Warriors injuries, the Blazers are actually in worse shape. Steve Blake is going to miss this game with pneumonia, while LaMarcus Aldridge sprained his ankle on Wednesday and is currently wearing a boot on his foot for the injury. This means that Juwan Howard actually becomes a legitimate fantasy play again (rockin’ it like Y2K) and Jeff Pendergraph is going to see some time on the court.

We'll have to wait to see how the trades play out before I'd have any other recommendations for you. It looks like Roger Mason wants to be traded from the Spurs more than the Spurs actually want to trade him. I'd be surprised if he got moved. And the Hinrich deal sounds like a long shot too. It seems like the Knicks will probably end up acquiring Tracy McGrady before the deadline, but they want him more for his contract than his game.
