Line of the Night: Chris Duhon (1.22) apparently still plays for the Knicks. Last night against the new worst team in the league – the Indiana Pacers – Duhon made 6 threes, comprising all of his 18 points. He also had 7 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 6-8 from the field… I wonder if those other 2 shots were also threes?

Honorable Mentions: David Lee (1.01) is a beast. Just in case you were wondering. Last night, aided by the ineptitude of the Pacers, Lee had 22 points and 16 rebounds while playing only 30 minutes.

LeBron James (1.00) had a good game. Let’s move on.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Jordan Farmar (0.98) had his monthly good game last night, thanks to a 29 point half-time lead for the Lakers. And they weren’t just beating up on a defenseless 3rd grader – that was against the Dallas Mavericks, who, as far as I can tell, are still starting Jason Kidd, Dirk Nowitzki, and Shawn Marion. Farmar tried to beat Duhon’s game score by adding 6 additional points to his 6 threes (for a total of 24). Unfortunately, it took him a few extra shots to do it, and he didn’t a whole heck of a lot else.

Meanwhile, an actual Waiver Wire pick up would be Ty Lawson (0.73) who had 23 points and 9 assists in Chauncey Billups absence. Too bad Lawson’s performance wasn’t enough for the Nuggets to overcome the 76ers. Which is kind of surprising because…

The Biggest Loser: Andre Iguodala (-0.59) played 34 minutes, going 2-9 and 4-5 for 8 points. He did have 7 rebounds and 3 assists, but also 3 turnovers. Thank goodness for Allen Iverson and that backup Power Forward Elton Brand.

Nate Robinson was pretty far down the list, but so was Jason Kidd, so we’ll just leave them alone together in their misery.

All Eyez On Me: Atlanta (21-11) at Miami (16-15) should be interesting. Oklahoma City (18-15) at Chicago (14-17) seems like it might lend a LotN since the Bulls don’t really have anyone to defend Kevin Durant.

The Golden Ticket: Sorry, someone already found the fifth golden ticket.

I was reading the primer the other day and just wanted to report that my big ball/high percentage team has turned it around with 6 straight wins now that everyone is healthy (well, Dampier just sat again). But starting with Brook Lopez and Amar'e, it is possible to build a .500/.800, high-rebounding, high-scoring H2H team by adding the likes of Tony Parker, Wilson Chandler, and David West. Of course, you have to be able to stomach being being dead last in 3s, Assts, and Stls. Salmons and Vinsanity have single-handedly brought my season FG down to .464, and my blocks are much lower than I'd like, but this team is starting to lock in some consistency, and I've literally moved from 2nd to last to 2nd in my 10-team over this past month and a half. The draft guide really helped me flesh out this strategy, so I thank you. Let's hope it keeps going.

    Congrats!

It's interesting you built a somewhat oddball team, but I'd contend that you could build a team to win any combination of categories given free pick of players. The reason we tend to herd people towards Big Ball or Small Ball is because those are the easiest combinations to acquire when you have to deal with other people possibly taking the guys you want to take.

As for Salmons and VC – I hear you! I have Salmons on 3 separate teams, and as a Bulls fan I continue to hold out hope that he can pull his stuff back together.
