Line of the Night: It wasn’t quite Golden State vs. Sacramento, but the fantasy juggernaut known at the New Jersey Nets produced the best line of last night. Courtney Lee (1.25) hit a season high 5 threes on his way to 28 points, adding 6 assists and 2 steals. Lee is starting for the Nets at SG and getting very decent minutes (35+ a game), but yesterday was his first really strong game since December 23rd. His performance going forward will likely be very hit or miss (literally).

Honorable Mentions: Brandon Roy (1.2) was a model of efficiency against Kobe Bryant and the Los Angelos Lakers. He dropped 32 points on 9-11 shooting, while going 13-14 from the line and earning 3 carbon offsets; Troy Murphy (1.05) returned from a 4 game absence to score 21 points, going 5-7 from three with 4 steals; Mr. Kardashian Lamar Odom (1.05) had a 15 and 13 against the Blazers along with 5 assists and 4 steals; and Dwyane Wade (0.96) had a 33/9/8 for the Heat in a win over Phoenix.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Technically, it’s Lee, who is currently owned in 48% of leagues. But for those of you in real leagues with active managers, Ime Udoka (1.09) pulled down a huge double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds, hitting 4 threes as well. Yes, the game came against the fantasy enhancing Golden State Warriors, but Udoka got the start at SG for the team and played 35 minutes in this one. That’s more than twice what he’s been averaging so far this year and could be a short term add in deeper leagues until Kevin Martin returns to the court.

The Biggest Loser: J.R. Smith (-0.42) continues his assault on basketball rims across the country with a 3-10 shooting night. He also added 5 turnovers in 27 minutes off the bench. Since Christmas, Smith has shot 33% from the field, averaging only about 1 three a game. It appears to be just a regular old shooting slump, so expect Smith to come out of it sometime, hopefully soon. In my opinion, Smith makes a good trade target as you can try and steal him away from a worried owner.

All Eyez on Me:

Denver (23-13) at Sacramento (14-21) – This game should produce some nice fantasy performances. Also, it is time to see if Ime Udoka has another strong game in him and if J.R. Smith can finally break out of that slump. Carmelo Anthony is expected to miss this one with a right knee contusion, giving Joey Graham another start at SF.

Atlanta (23-12) at Orlando (24-12) – Vince Carter hurt his shoulder in the Magic’s last game after colliding with Brendan Haywood. He’ll be evaluated this morning, but expect him to miss at least this game. J.J. Redick should get some play while Carter is out and if he can find his three-point stoke, will be a nice addition in just about any league.
