Teams with FOUR games: DET, IND, LAC, MIA, MIL, NOR, NYK, OKL, PHO, SAN, UTA, WAS

Teams with THREE games: ATL, BOS, CHA, CHI, CLE, DAL, DEN, GSW, HOU, LAL, MEM, MIN, ORL, PHI, SAC, TOR

Teams with TWO games: NJN, POR

Let’s begin with the two teams who each have only two games this coming week. I would consider only playing Brandon Roy of Portland and Brook Lopez of New Jersey. The rest of the players from those teams I would suggest you sit on your bench for the week.

    Team Spotlight: Detroit Pistons

Rodney Stuckey and Tayshaun Prince are both hurting. Despite Detroit logging four games for the week. It would probably be best to sit them both on your benches for now. Rip Hamilton, Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva are your best bets for production this week.

The Pistons are struggling and they will get blown out every now and then. Expect Hamilton and Gordon to sit when the games are out of reach.

    Chauncey-Melo

    Welcome Back!

Danny Granger - He’s back from his heel injury and is ready to go and give his fantasy owners some more of that three-point shooting madness and then some.

Chauncey Billups - He’s back from his groin injury and is performing nicely.

Deron Williams – His wrist appears to have healed better than expected. His shooting is there and so is his passing.

Andris Biedrins - It has been a slow return to form for this big man, but his stats are steadily rising and I believe it should be safe to plug him into your lineups this week.

Tyrus Thomas - He’s still not playing at desirable levels, but three games of his D numbers might be worth playing him.

    Anticipated Returns

Al Harrington - He took a week off to heal up. It’s worth a gamble that he will be able to play in all of his team’s four games this week. I plugging him in and crossing my fingers.

Carmelo Anthony - He’s expected to play Monday, against Minnesota. It should be safe to play him. Just don’t expect MVP-level play right away.

Vince Carter - His injury isn’t very serious. He took a game off to rest and is expected to play this week.

Pau Gasol – The Lakers really need a healthy Pau up and running again. It all depends on whether he will play on Sunday and/or he aggravates the injury. He should be a last minute decision to play or not. If you have the big men to spare, feel free to sit him for this week.

    Injury Woes

Kevin Garnett - He could be gone this entire week once again. Feel free to play Rasheed Wallace if you own him.

Josh Howard - Sit him. He will be erratically gone every now and then to rest his ankles. Wait until he puts together a string of good games with good minutes before inserting him your lineup.

Mike Conley - Although he’s listed as day-to-day, I would recommend starting other suitable guards if you have them.

Nice weekly update Erik, I like the focus on a team or two and the injury stuff is gold, especially for those of us in a weekly league… or five.
