Line of the Night: LeBron James willed (Mike Brown’s word, not mine) the Cavaliers to a win against the defending NBA Champions with 37 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. He was also 52% from the floor, taking 25 shots. That should be a shot in the arm for his fantasy teams (pun intended).

Honorable Mentions: Kenyon Martin (0.82) had 13 and 14 for the Nuggets. Chauncey Billups (0.81) had 20 points including 4 threes, and Carmelo Anthony (0.77) came up with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Need less to say, the Nuggets blew out the Clippers.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Craig Smith (0.47) tied Ty Lawson (0.47) (no pun intended). Smith had 21 and 6 with a steal and a block, while Lawson scored only 11, but also had 6 rebounds, adding 4 assists. Smith is only owned in 4% of leagues, so he’s more likely to be around than Lawson, who’s owned in 26%. Looking at their game logs, though, I’d go with Smith right now. He’s on a bit of a tear, and definitely worth picking up in leagues with daily changes. The Clippers Mr. Smith is more of a risk in weekly leagues since you won’t be able to put him in your lineup until next week, and his streak might well be over by then…

The Biggest Loser: Good thing the other Nuggets were ballin’, ’cause their version of Mr. Smith ended up at the very bottom of the player pileup. JR Smith’s single field goal was a pretty wicked dunk, but he missed his other 6 shots, was only 1-2 from the line, had 2 assists, 3 turnovers, and a nomination for Streakiest Player Ever.

All Eyez On Me: Portland visits Boston in a matchup of two teams that are good (but probably not good enough). Another one of those games will take place between Houston and San Antonio. Of course, I think San Antonio is dark horse if there ever was one. But the most fun game to watch will probably be OKC @ Memphis. It’s the entire future of the NBA in one game.

The Golden Ticket: The D-League Game of the Ngith takes place in Oakland when the Warriors host the Nets. That’ll be some sloppy ball if anyone has anything to say about it. Orlando is at Sacramento, so maybe some big D-Howard action? The Lakers go into NY after losing to Cleveland, so maybe they’ll be worn down enough for the Knicks to run them ragged. Question of the Day: Nate Robinson?

Don’t Forget: Register at 365 Fantasy Sports so you can play in the weekly (one-day) Give Me The Rock fantasy game. On Wednesday this week, we had 12 people (up from 7) starting their fantasy seasons anew, and I’m going to mention that our very own Erik took this one. Want to see your name here next week? Register at the site, and then check back for the GiveMeTheRock.com FreeRoll game starting Tuesday night.

making me use the brain a little. Always enjoy a good “unintended” pun.

Love iverson making the all star team. He's a class act. Although, with conan o brien making sure his staff was taken care of when he negotiated his severence….thats classier. A non-sequitur comparison, nice!
