Line of the Night: Stephen Curry (0.94) is going to be a fantasy force for probably as long as he’s on the Warriors and they’re playing Nellieball. Last night Curry threw up 27 points with 3 threes, grabbed 9 rebounds, passed for 6 assists (1 turnover), and stole the ball 3 times.
Honorable Mentions: Al Harrington (0.87) is playing another version of Nelliball we can call D’Antoniball. He had 4 threes to beat Curry in that category, but only scored 26 points. He had 10 rebounds, which figures, cause he’s taller than Curry. Also under the taller-than heading, he only had 2 assists and 2 steals. But Harrington made all 6 of his free throws, so that’s kind of cool.
David Lee (0.85) had 28 and 10 (shooting 70% from the field).
Boris Diaw (0.78) had 24 and 11 (in 47 minutes of an overtime game).
Spencer Hawes (0.77) had 18 and 13 with 3 blocks and a three.
Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Jared Dudley (0.72) played 49 minutes in Phoenix’s overtime loss to the Bobcats, so I’m not exactly looking to him for 18 points, 4 threes, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals on any sort of a consistent basis. The last time he did anything like that was almost a month ago to the day.
The Biggest Loser: Well, everybody’s favorite wannabe hot pick up Omri Casspi was at the very bottom, but since he’s only owned in 35% of leagues, this is just a warning to people out there that trading on his value for the whole season so far is not a good idea.
The real biggest loser is: Johnny Flynn (-0.59) (sorry, Patrick). Flynn played 25 minutes, and just had one of those off-nights, along with the rest of his team. The Wolves were down 40-16 after the first quarter (!), so their bench players got some extended time in this one. Flynn should be a solid play as long as his team doesn’t continue to get blown out like that every game. (Though, they are the Timberwolves… so…)
Water Cooler Talk of the Night: Yes, Greg Oden took Vanessa Hudgens style pictures of himself. I’m not saying I’ve seen them, but that’s a pretty good way to get girls when you have to kind of pretend you’re still an NBA player.
All Eyez On Me: There’s a whole lot of games today, which makes for a lot of fun in the GMTR FreeRoll game over at: http://www.365fantasysports.com/index.php?module=ContestLobby&sport=NBA
Miami @ Toronto should be decent. The battered Rockets host Denver to see if they can stage a home comeback. Utah and Portland play each other again (seems like they do this once a week, at least).
The Golden Ticket: New Orleans @ Golden State. The Hornets are a pretty slow team, and now they have Aaron Gray, who, by definition slows a team down just by being present. We’ll see what happens when they head into Oakland to play the Warriors.
