Well, since yesterday was the All Star Game (which allegedly started at 7PM EST, but did not, in fact, start until 2 hours after that time, leading me to overindulge in both food and beer), there’s not a lot going on with the old fantasy basketball.

Patrick has already covered the big trade that went down over the weekend. So, with that done… there’s not much left to do right now but wait for more trades to happen. I’ve been hearing a lot about Amar’e Stoudemire going to Cleveland. Of course, most of the people saying that seem to be Cavs fans who would love for nothing more than to give LeBron a worthy sidekick.

I could talk about the All Star Game, but excess of food and beer aside, I didn’t really see anything there that anyone reading this blog doesn’t already know. And honestly, I’m a little upset that I had to wait 2 hours to watch the game, which – with all due respect – was basically what every ASG is: Entertaining and Fun, but not Spectacular.

So, while we wait for trades, I will take the opportunity to do something that is Spectacular and that I will probably never get the chance to do again: Post pictures of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Sure, I suppose I could do that any time I wanted since it’s not like there’s an editorial staff here, but we do try to keep things topical, and the topic of having the All Star game in the Cowboys stadium came up over and over and over and over last night so, well, here we go. (Note, I looked around a little and couldn’t find any of the lovely ladies actually at the ASG last night, so instead, we what is basically the All Star team of Cowboys Cheerleader pictures.)

Nice. I suppose I should have also put up some pictures of Shakira, cause who knows when that will be relevant to fantasy basketball again…

sorry to keep bringin up all the q's, but now i have an offer to me of KG + mo williams for milsap + devin harris. U think mo williams will be back in 4 weeks (our playoffs start after 4 weeks).

also got offered bogut for devin harris straight up but that guy has rondo + smith + bosh who I am interested in and he seriously needs G help to make playoffs..decisions decisions!

Based on projected timetable Mo should be back. I can see how this trade was visualized. It's basically an upside swap. Your trade partner gets the potential upside of Millsap from a Boozer trade while you get Mo Williams' returning value. I like the deal in the sense that I fear that Devin Harris might possibly get shut down in the last stretch due to the Nets' season being already dead in the water. In the end, it's about your team's needs. If Josh Smith would better fit what you need to make the Playoffs, then I would go in that direction…

he offered josh smith + kevin love (i could probably up to bogut) for devin harris + iggy.

i have that and the milsap + devin offer on the table. I'm set for playoffs (1.5 games out of 1st place behind a guy who lost CP3. 2 teams behind me are strong and within 2 games).

Iggy trade: gives me a boost in FG% (assuming j smith keeps it up and iggy keeps stinking it up) and a big boost in rebs but hits me a bit on FT%. Then again, i got melo + Kevin martin there so i should be solid. It hits me a bit in assists, 3pt, stl, though while boosting blk a bit. Also gives me piece of mind with Iggy on the block…and devin a questoin mark…assuming the deron williams owner doesn't come around and hook it up straight up for iggy.

milsap trade: the weird thing is I really want garnett but if you look at his numbers, they're comparable to milsaps split stats as a backup, only a tad better. that means any lineup change or boozer injury and milsap>garnett. I didn't expect that.

      Milsap (bench): FG 56.5 FT 69.4 PT 11.2 Reb 6.1 Ast 1.4 Stl 0.6 Blk 1.1 TO 3.4
      Garnett (season avg) FG 53.6 FT828 PT 14.3 Reb 7.3 Ast 2.7 Stl 0.9 Blk 0.8 TO 1.6

The major difference there is 2 TO, something my team doesn't win. Again, Garnett could get hot sure but he has knee problems. Milsaps just waiting for Boozer to go down. On the flip side, Mo Williams is a huge upgrade over Devin Harris this season. The only knock is whether Devin comes out stinking or streaking and if Mo Williams recovers or not in time. Is it worth it? IDK.

Since, as you point out, Millsap and Garnett are actually pretty close… I'd stick with Millsap since he definitely has more upside potential, and go with Josh Smith and Kevin Love. I should disclose that I have an fairly unsupported affinity for Kevin Love, so my personal opinion may not hold up to the actual stats… But, that's the deal I'd go with. I wouldn't want Devin Harris on my team if I could have Smith and Love.

i hate devin harris and kevin love :) kevin love isn't bad but just not my type of player. j-smooth is and im hoping he stays solid for a playoff run. I think ill do it if i can get bogut in place of love. i could throw in a sweetener if need be. I know the CP3 owner is going balls out to hold on for regular season–i know he's trying to go big and he wants bogut bad (i suspect bc of his 5 game week coming up) so i could make him a deal for stephen curry at that point hopefully. that would leave me turning iggy + devin harris into josh smith + curry. that would be the best i think…ugh im gonna fail med school
