Thank you for the clarification about how 365 Fantasy Sports works out the player costs. Always good information to know, and I do appreciate that point values are fluid, it certainly makes things more interesting. As far as I’m concerned, I do enjoy the once a week aspect to the game. It gives me something to look forward to every week.

Player Point Values - Nels was wondering why some of the guys (Blatche, Martin, Collison, Jamison) had lower point values. Here's the best explanation I can offer.

Unlike some sites which assign a player a "salary" or "point" value at the beginning of the season and keep it there all or most of the season, our point values change every night.

Simple formula. We look at all of the players in the league. We divide each player's total fantasy points scored by the number of games HE has played in. (If a players team has played 50 games, but the player was injured for a while and has only appeared in 40 games, we're dividing his total points earned by 40.)

After we do that, obviously there is one player who has the highest fantasy pts / game. He becomes our 100 point guy. Everyone else is given points as a percentage of how they compare to the top guy. As an example: (Assuming EVERYONE has played 10 games) Lebron has scored 400 fantasy points through 10 games for an average of 40. Durant has scored 360 for an avg of 36. 36 = 90% of 40 so Durant's rating is 90.

Occasionally when players get traded, their data from their time with their former team does not follow them (due to an issue with our stats provider). This would then skew their ranking. Sometimes we catch these errors and manually change the ranking, sometimes we miss them... sometimes we see them but leave them alone so that the guys who can spot a good value can scoop someone up cheaply.

Hope all this was helpful. Let's see over 20 in next Wednesday's contest!

BTW, is once a week enough or would you like to see the contest more often? You decide...

Hey All,

While the main point of the GMTR.com is to play for pride and have a chance for the community to compete with and against each other, there is more on the line as well.

Nels was right. On our "to do" list is to create an online store filled with lots of great stuff that people would either get as promotional goodies from us for being valued players OR that they could straight up buy for cash $ OR that they could get by redeeming the tokens they have won in our free games.

We give everyone 365 points just for signing up with us. You can earn additional points by: making cash deposits, referring friends and playing in cash games. If none of those options appeal to you and you run low or out of points, just e-mail us and we'll reload you.

To earn points by referring friends, just ask them to put your username in the promo code box. The points will be added to your account instantly when they register.

Good luck and congrats on your win this week. (Imagine if you had been playing in a cash game... )

Enjoy! (and send friends!) - David (BuckeyeGus)

Who the hell was Shane Battier blocking in that game?

A nice performance from Battier - looks like a career high in blocks for him. The 4 points and 4 boards however, left him with only the 47th best fantasy line of last night.
