It’s been a long time in the making, but GMTR is back with our third podcast. In this one, Erik and I discuss:

    • The now-dead Carmelo Anthony trade to the Nets (one of the problems with taking 2 days to edit the thing)
    • A run down of the top 12 guys from the GMTR top 200 player rankings list.
    • Guys toward the end of the draft who we have our eyes on

A couple notes about the podcast. My $5 microphone works about as well as Yao Ming’s skeletal system. There are a few points during the podcast where the sound quality is a little dicey on my end. This will be remedied before the next podcast. The good news is that Erik sounds so clear it’s like he’s sitting on your lap.

During the podcast, I mentioned that Derrick Rose regressed from his rookie to sophomore seasons. If you squint really hard, it’s possible that his numbers remained steady, but he definitely did not regress.

Finally, I said Kobe was both a known commodity in the first round and later that he was not a consistent first round pick like Deron Williams. Bad choice of words. I should have said that he was a known commodity in terms of playing hurt and still being able to put up numbers, but on the wrong side of 30 and more likely to decline than D-Will. It was a subtle point that I ran over with a steamroller.
