Are We Not All Beggars?

I’m not exactly sure how to start something like this, so…

Nice. This is already a better post that I thought it was going to be.

Anyway…

So, RotoEvil and the Kings of Hoop are selling what I would guess are super awesome draft guides. We here at GMTR did that last season, but then Patrick was all about having a baby and I’m not really a “charge people for money” kind of guy since I’m not really a “pay money for things” kind of guy (probably to Erik’s dismay). (I think that perhaps you share at least a little bit of that same philosophy since you are here at GMTR to get free fantasy basketball advice – hence: are we not all beggars?)

A few days ago, a man I greatly admire, Sebastian at NBA Playbook put a widget on his site that simply asks people to contribute whatever they feel like. I think that’s a great way to essentially ask people what they think our free fantasy basketball draft guide is worth.

Yes, we have ads on the site, but without enough time to really manage and optimize them, they really only cover the hosting charges in months like September, October, and November. There are also some text link ads which pay for about an hour of our time each month and I think hope you can tell we put in a lot more time than that.
