    Who’s being overlooked?

    I said:

Landry Fields is sitting at about 39% ownership, but providing stats at almost Top 100 level talent. It simply cannot be possible that 60% of leagues have only 8 teams in them. I know you have to factor in “dead” leagues when you look at ownership percentage, but you also have to factor in that Fields is not just playing, but starting for the fantasy goldmine that is the Knicks. He’s averaging 6.4 rebounds which is nice for someone you can play at the Shooting Guard position. Speaking of things that are nice from a Shooting Guard, how about 55% from the field and 82% from the line?

Patrick and Erik both went with Kris Humphries. Erik said:

Kris Humphries (F), New Jersey Nets: He’s 34% owned in Yahoo leagues. Troy Murphy is nowhere in sight and it appears that Humphries has become the new timeshare partner of Derrick Favors at the four spot. Humphries is a solid source of boards and blocks and should remain as such until such time that Murphy is at least at 90% health and is playing 20-25 minutes every night.

    Patrick said:

Kris Humphries. It’s not surprising that Humphries is still available in 60% or more of fantasy leagues since he entered the season as a career journeyman who was third on the Nets depth chart behind Troy Murphy and Derrick Favors. But with Murphy injured and New Jersey content to bring Favors along slowly, the journeyman sprung into action and quickly impressed Coach Avery Johnson with his willingness to do the dirty work. In the 6 games since Humphries entered the team’s starting lineup, he’s averaged 11.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. With rumors flying that the Nets may trade Murphy, it’s possible that Humphries remains in the starting lineup for the rest of the season.
