Line of the Night: Sometimes fantasy sports and real life actually intersect with each other. For example, Derrick Rose (2.96) hit the game tying three pointer at the buzzer to send the Bulls/Rockets game to overtime – a game in which the Bulls eventually won. So Rose is a winner all the way around – as he also takes home the fantasy LotN with 30 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals.
Honorable Mentions: The Cavs must still be on a high from getting beat down by LeBron and the Miami Heat, because Kevin Love (2.53) and the Wolves destroyed them by a score of 129-95. Love had – what else – a 28 point, 19 rebounds double-double and also piled on with 5 threes (the Wolves hit franchise-record 18 threes in this game).
Speaking of the Heat, they won their fourth game in a row led by Dwyane Wade (1.79), who scored 26 points, with 10 rebounds 3 steals 3 blocks and LeBron James (1.25), who had a 22 and 7. Even Chris Bosh (0.58) – with 27 points and 10 rebounds – was feeling it.
The Sixers mixed things up yesterday (more on that below) and it seemed to work for Jrue Holiday (1.76), who helped lead the Sixers over the Bobcats with 15 points, 7 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
The rest of the Kings are toxic to fantasy lineups at this point, but at least Tyreke Evans (1.53) can be counted on to deliver a roto friendly line. He had 25 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists as the Kings lost their 7th game in a row, this time to the Mavs.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: The Sixers replaced rookie Evan Turner with Jodie Meeks (1.24) in their starting lineup. Meeks responded about as well as possible, scoring a career-high 26 points on 7-10 from three. Doug Collins called Meeks a “flamethrower” out on the court, presumably because he was shooting liquid fire at everyone. Meeks can certainly score, but if you are looking for other categories off your waiver wire, look elsewhere.
Quick Hits: There is currently no schedule for Yao Ming’s return, which means good things for Brad Miller (1.31), who had 20 points and 3 blocks in 25 minutes against Chicago; Wayne Ellington (1.18) scored 16 points in 30 minutes on the court – but as mentioned above – the Wolves game was a huge blowout, so just keep an eye on him for now; and we’ve had a Kwame Brown (0.15) sighting. Brown had a 12 and 7 in 21 minutes off the bench for the Bobcats. It was the most run he’s gotten all season.
Biggest Loser: Gerald Wallace (-0.63) scored 8 points on 3-10 shooting in a loss to the Sixers. Simply looks like a bad shooting night for him.
On Tap: The game with the most fireworks is probably Golden State (8-11) at Oklahoma City (13-7). Kevin Durant is expected to return in this one, but Russell Westbrook is much more fun to write about at the moment.
LA Clippers (4-16) at Portland (8-11) – It’ll be interesting to see how minutes are split between the slacker Marcus Camby and Joel Przybilla in this one. If you’re in need of a center in deep leagues, Przybilla might be your man.
