Erik and Patrick are back again to talk some big name NBA injuries and what they mean for fantasy teams. Erik also discusses his personal pain in the ass list and places a few guys on official one week notices. Dorell Wright, stop sucking.

Note: Due to time constraints, I was not able to edit this podcast as I normally would, so apologies if there is any funky background noise going on or any horrible jump cuts. On the plus side, the quality issues from last week’s podcast should now be fixed. Erik sounds so clear it’s like he’s sitting on my lap.

who ya rather have? my team wins boards and loses 3pters.. should i drop jerebko for gary neal? thanks

      Chandler Parsons over Neal!

I’d rather have Neal right now at least until Ginobili gets back.

Would you trade Stephen Curry (mine) for Javale McGee (his)? Seems crazy but tempting given Curry’s injury issues. And I’m weak in reb/blk. Thoughts appreciated – thanks!

just dropped dorell wright this morning after another single digit, no-3s dud. then he hits more threes tonight than the whole season. oh and a double double w/rebounds too. fml

    • http://givemetherock.com/ Erik

Ouch! That’s like D Wright giving you the finger for dropping him. I know all too well what that feels like. “FML” indeed.

    • http://givemetherock.com/ Erik

Their value gap is quite big, IF Curry was playing. I’d suggest to wait a tad bit longer for more information following the Warriors meeting with Curry in Charlotte. We’ll get a better picture then. As of now, the trade is a gamble where you’re basically betting against Curry coming back.

    • http://givemetherock.com/ Patrick

Looks like Curry has no additional structural damage in that ankle and is just going to rest it out for a while.

If Curry (.82 WARP) and McGee (.64 WARP) keep playing like they have so far, then by my calculations Curry would have to miss about 15 games for the two to be equal in value overall. That’s a lot of games, but he’s already 1/3 of the way there and we’re in week 3 of the season, so it’s probably not as crazy a trade as it might sound at first glace.

Still, I’d feel better about the trade if you could get a second player thrown in along with McGee.
